Compatibility - Hard Top ORIGIN

The ORIGIN Hard Top is a sturdy, versatile aluminum hard top designed to fit the vast majority of pick-ups on the market. The most common models are often available from stock, but it's always advisable to check the exact compatibility with your vehicle.

Securing a roof tent

When using a roof tent, two roof poles are all you need. They are the simplest and most practical carrying system, even when a self-supporting awning (e.g. 270-210 or 270-260) is added.
⚠️ Depending on the size of the tent, awning and length of the body, a slight overhang at the rear or above the cab is possible. This is acceptable as long as it is not excessive and does not affect the safety or aesthetics of the installation.

Fixing a freestanding awning

• For classic awnings type 270-210 or 270-260, roof bars are sufficient.

• For larger awnings, such as 450°, 360° or square models(140, 200, 250 cm), the use of an aluminum gallery is more appropriate:

  • It allows the roof rack to protrude partially above the cab,

  • It increases upper load space,

  • It facilitates load distribution and offers more surface area for mounting other equipment (crates, wheels, solar panels, etc.).

Roof tent compatibility

The Hard Top ORIGIN is compatible with all roof tents on the market, provided the crossbars (or a roof rack) are installed. The final height of the vehicle will depend directly on the model of tent chosen.

👉 To sum up:

• Roof bars are sufficient for a roof tent + 270° awning (210 or 260).

• A slight overrun is possible, but should not be excessive.

• For 450°, 360° and square awnings (140, 200, 250), we recommend the aluminum gallery.

• The gallery is also ideal for increasing carrying capacity and securing additional equipment.
